Prof. Compares Climate Change to Slavery, Says Lincoln Would Have Tried to Stop It

Jonathan Overpeck, a renowned climate scientist and co-director of the Institute of the Environment at the University of Arizona, says of late he's been reading about Abraham Lincoln.
Specifically about his approach to slavery.

And "Peck" (as his bio indicates he prefers) believes that as Lincoln stepped in to end slavery during the Civil War, Lincoln also would have moved to eradicate climate change, since it's the "moral issue of our time."
