Rush Limbaugh Addresses 'Drummed Up', 'BS' Controversy Between Him and Fox News

Conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh on Tuesday slammed Politico for claiming he told a caller not to watch Fox News. Other news outlets published similar reports, including the Huffington Post, which went with the headline: "Rush Limbaugh Escalates Battle With Fox News."

"[Tony from Tampa] was talking very rapidly which made it difficult for me to understand every word he was saying and he started spouting names of people, and I didn’t recognize many of the names. It turns out that he was watching the Fox Business Channel and he was ticked off at listening to all the liberals there," Limbaugh said of his interaction with the caller. "And I said, ‘Well Tony, stop listening to them. Stop watching those people.’ That became this on Politico today, headline ‘Rush Limbaugh tells caller not to watch Fox'."

"I did not tell anybody to stop watching Fox," he added. "I said stop listening to these people that make you so mad. What else am I going to say? I don’t watch these people that make me mad anymore, I gave that up years ago."

Limbaugh also addressed comments he made about Fox News producers not wanting to talk about immigration reform and how it will impact the GOP during a rare television appearance on the network recently.

He said Fox News host Greta Van Susteren sent him a "note" inviting him to come on her program at any point to talk about immigration reform and the Republican Party.

"This whole drummed up thing with Fox and me…it's all BS," Limbaugh added. "There is no Fox News policy that says Limbaugh can't come on here and talk about immigration. I don't know what happened on their morning show…I just wanted to let you know there is no problem.
