The baby still doesn't come close to the world record...
The biggest baby to ever be born in Germany came into this world last week at an astonishing 13.47 pounds and 22.6 inches. Her name is Jasleen.

Also shocking is the fact that Jasleen was not delivered via a caesarean section like most giant babies. Instead, her mother gave birth to her the old fashioned way.
The largest baby to be born in the U.S. was a whopping 13.75 pounds and 25 inches, even larger than Jasleen.
However, the heaviest baby ever born was delivered in Canada, where a 7'5" mother and 7'11" father welcomed a 23 pound, 12 ounce baby boy, according to the Guinness Book of World Records. Sadly, the baby died 11 hours later.
