Beauty Pageant Contestant's Cringe-Inducing Answer to Simple Question Is Hard to Get Through

"Because seeing is the best sense that we can ever see..."

We have a new contender in the running for the worst beauty pageant response of all-time.

Over the weekend, Miss Philippines USA contestant Joanlia Lising was asked by a presenter which of the "five senses" (vision, hearing, taste, smell, touch) she would pick if she could only choose one.

Her answer?

"I would pick Seeing. Because seeing is the best sense that we can ever see, because seeing is believing, and believing into what you see is perfect," she replied.

But there was more. Much more. Watch the cringe-inducing response in the video below:

And no, Lising did not win the pageant.

Also in the running for worst pageant answer ever is Miss Teen USA contestant Lauren Caitlin Upton, who in 2007 eloquently reminded the nation why some Americans can't locate their own country on a map…and like, such as.

Finally, Miss Venezuela Irene Sofia Esser Quintero memorably failed to piece together a decipherable answer when she was asked what law she would enact if she could and why.

Watch the painfully awkward moment:

Who do you think takes the gold?
