Disgusting and Despicable': Jesse Watters Confronts Professor Involved With Anti-Petraeus Protests

"...the attempt to turn this university into some sort of Abu Ghraib on the island of Manhattan."

Former CIA director and retired Gen. David Petraeus encountered an angry mob earlier this month on his first day teaching a class at the City University of New York. While he was being called a "war criminal" and a "fascist" by screaming protesters, Petraeus simply walked on and ignored their jeers.

Fox News' "The O'Reilly Factor" producer Jesse Watters attempted to gain more insight about what might be driving this angst, so he confronted Professor Sandor John, who had reportedly been involved -- and present -- at the protests.

As you could expect, the conversation between the two parties didn't go very well. While Watters derided the professor for inspiring student angst and for disrespecting Petraeus, the educator accused Petraeus of being a war criminal who is undeserving of a teaching position in the university system.

After Watters introduced himself to the professor, John made it clear that he had no interest in entertaining the interviewer.

"I don't want to talk to you right now," he said, however the back-and-forth proceeded anyway.

"Students and faculty at the city university of New York are not okay with a death squad organizer and somebody who organized drone attacks," John said.

Considering the strength of these words, Watters asked if the professor has any facts to back up his harsh claims. After John went through some of the allegations that he believes prove his points against Petraeus (mainly some alleged activity that he has seen reported in the media), he noted that his own family has served in the military. But he differentiated his relatives' apparent heroism from the purported tactics used by the general.

"Students, faculty and staff at the City University of New York will continue to express their opposition to the attempt to turn this university into some sort of Abu Ghraib on the island of Manhattan," said John.

But Watters wasn't having it, calling the recent attacks on Petraeus "disgusting and despicable" and asking, "Do you think it's okay to sic a wild, angry mob of students on a decorated war veteran?"

John's response? "Is this supposed to be a news interview or is this Joseph McCarthy being reincarnated?"
