Suicidal Woman Jumps in Front of Speeding Train...but It Doesn't End How She Planned
October 01, 2013
"We don’t know how she survived."
A Dehli train station official is calling one of its latest suicide attempts -- there have been 10 this year, if you're wondering -- "unique and miraculous," according to the Hindustan Times.
A suicidal woman in June jumped on the tracks just as a train was pulling into the Civil Lines metro station and somehow managed to survive as the train rolled over her.
Caught on CCTV footage that was recently released to the Hindustan Times, the woman is seen on an empty platform in the early evening of Sunday, June 9. She jumps right in front of the train, but ducks at the last minute, letting the train go over her.

After several seconds, the train continues rolling through the station and eventually leaves, revealing the unnamed woman below. She sits up, stands and looks around, hands on her hips. A man eventually turns up to help her from the tracks.

"We don’t know how she survived," Udayan Banerjee with the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation and Central Industrial Security Force told the Hindustan Times.
“...it was a miracle that she emerged unhurt," Anuj Dayal with the DMRC said.
