Kansas Woman Who 'Liked the Taste of...Blood' Accused of Chewing Off Girlfriend's Lip

A Kansas City, Kansas woman who allegedly said she liked the taste of her girlfriend's blood is accused of chewing off the woman's bottom lip.

The 20-year-old suspect "liked the taste of how her [girlfriend's] blood tasted," a neighbor, identified as "Tyra" by WDAF-TV, said. "It was crazy."

According to authorities, the unidentified woman, booked for aggravated battery, bit off her 20-year-old girlfriend's lip around 1 a.m. on Monday. The victim than ran out of her apartment screaming for help.

“She said the girl did that to her, she bit my lip off and she was bleeding real bad and you know she was just really screaming and crying hysterically,” Tyra told WDAF.

"I know her lip was off. What I saw off and, I mean, it was crazy," she added, noting that the woman accused of committing the crime was smiling as her girlfriend was screaming in pain.

The victim is being treated in the hospital and will need plastic surgery to repair her face.
