Allen West: Why is Obama silent on 'demeaning' KKK rhetoric?

As we reported Tuesday, Florida Rep. Alan Grayson is living up to his reputation and using heated racial rhetoric to attack the Tea Party.  While Grayson is doubling down on the hate, former Congressman Allen West is wondering why the White House and other leading figures in Washington are so silent.

Former Rep. Allen West is calling on President Barack Obama and other high-ranking Democrats to condemn Rep. Alan Grayson’s fundraising email that compared the tea party to the Ku Klux Klan and pictured a burning cross.

“The president came out and started talking about civility in our dialogue. Where is President Obama?” West said Tuesday on Fox News’s “The Kelly File.” “I think that the president should be speaking out about this. He should reprimand and censor Alan Grayson for what he said.”

West also called out other leading Democrats for their silence, asking, “Why isn’t [House Minority Leader] Nancy Pelosi speaking out about this? Why isn’t [Democratic National Chairwoman] Debbie Wasserman Schultz or [Senate Majority Leader] Harry Reid?”
