Viral Video Shows Children Reacting to Gay Marriage Proposals

A fifteen-minute video uploaded to YouTube Sunday purportedly shows thirteen children from California reacting to two different videos depicting gay marriage proposals.

"The opinions of children about these issues can give incredibly valuable insight into where our society currently stands and where we are headed as a people," an opening slide on the video says. "It's important to discuss these topics openly in hopes of a better tomorrow through dialogue and conversation."

Nearing one-million views Monday, the video shows the instant reactions of kids between the ages of 5 to 13 as they watch one video showing a man propose to another man and another video showing a woman propose to another woman.

Afterwards, an interviewer then asks the kids for their thoughts regarding same-sex marriages.

Produced by "TheFineBros," a YouTube channel appearing to be in favor of gay-marriage, the video shows kids reacting in contrasting ways to the idea of gay marriage.

The children's reactions ranged from "are they gay?" to "a guy proposing to another guy?"

"Marry who?" one child asked, appearing a bit perplexed. "You mean a boy marrying another boy?"

Nonetheless, some of the children appeared opposed to limiting marriage to a union between one man and one woman.

"Love is a freedom and they are totally taking that away," one child said.

"It used to be illegal for a black person to marry a white person," another said. "I don't get why all this stuff has to be illegal."
