The Unlikely Weapon a 14-Year-Old Girl Used Against an Intruder With One of the Best Mugshots You'll See All Week

"Get out of my house right now"

A 14-year-old Florida girl confronted a home intruder Saturday with the only weapon she had at her disposal — a bow and arrow.

Mariah Reed told authorities she heard the doorbell ring early in the morning and, assuming it was her mother, unlocked the door and disabled the alarm, then went back to bed in her Oak Hill, Fla., home, according to WESH-TV.

But when the teenager heard an unfamiliar noise she texted her mother and was frightened to learn that she wasn't home.

That's when she took things into her own hands.

"I panicked a little and got the bow out of my closet," Reed told WESH.

Armed, the 14-year-old then left her room and discovered 54-year-old Marcia Watson in the house and held her at "arrow-point."

"She was like, 'Are you going to shoot me with that?' I'm like, 'Get out of my house right now,'" Reed said.

Watson refused to leave, however, instead asking the teenager to pour her a glass of water, according to Mail Online.

Reed then called the police.

According to WESH, when authorities arrived Watson rambled about drinking alcohol and picking flowers, while also apologizing for being in the incorrect home.

The 54-year-old was arrested for trespassing. Authorities said she lives on the same street as Reed.
