Richard Cohen's 'gag-reflex' column ended up on Colbert

The hits just keep on coming for Washington Post phenomenon columnist Richard Cohen.

His unseemly column from Tuesday -- the one in which he said some Tea Party Republicans "must repress a gag reflex" at the thought of interracial married couples -- caught the attention of Comedy Central's "Colbert Report" Wednesday night.

“It’s not racist to gag when you see an interracial couple,” host Stephen Colbert said on the show. “A real racist would actually throw up on them.” Colbert also referred to the powdery white Cohen as "homeless Col. Sanders."
