“Opened my blinds and looked outside and my trees were gone."
An Ohio woman returned to her Huron home residing in front of Lake Erie after the Thanksgiving holiday and opened her blinds to an unwelcome sight.
“Opened my blinds and looked outside and my trees were gone,” Patricia Votino told WJW-TV. “I didn’t do any harm to anyone. Why, why would someone do this to me? What did I do to cause them to be irritated?”

According to the news station, 50 of Voltino's trees and shrubs were hacked. She she didn't hire any sort of landscaping or trimming companies to come by, but she did find a black glove.
“Up and down the road you can see the rosasheron trees are all gone,” the woman, who lived on the lake front property for the past 36 years, said. “See how big the stump is, on the blue spruce."

Votino estimated that each planting cost about $100. Police were notified and confirmed the vandalism to WJW, but said they didn't have any leads as to a suspect yet.
