Feckless...dilettantes': TheBlaze's Buck Sexton weighs in on Robert Gates' book in fiery CNN interview
January 08, 2014
TheBlaze's national security adviser Buck Sexton called former Secretary of Defense Robert Gates' new book "absolutely devastating stuff for an Obama administration that already looks incredibly feckless, almost like a bunch of dilettantes on foreign policy and geostrategic issues around the globe..."
The former CIA officer added that while many have already concluded the administration is out of its "depth" in foreign policy matters, Gates' assertion that decisions were made for political purposes adds another alarming layer.
In the book, Gates says both President Obama and then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton admitted that their opposition to the surge in Iraq was politically motivated.
"This just shows us that really what they care about in this White House are the polls, that's it, nothing else," Sexton said.
