Wife of 49ers Coach Really Doesn't Like His Trademark $8 Khaki Pants

"He found a Walmart. They were $8. $8!"

When the San Francisco 49ers take on the Seattle Seahawks this Sunday to determine which squad will head to Super Bowl XLVIII this February, most viewers won't strain much for a view of 49ers head coach Jim Harbaugh.

For those who do take notice, even fewer will care about how he's dressed.

Well, except for Harbaugh's wife Sarah.

Seems the missus has an issue with coach's game-day attire...specifically his $8 Walmart khakis.

"I've thrown them away many of times," Sarah declared on a San Francisco radio talk show. "I've asked him: 'Please, pleats are gone. Wear the flat front.' He has a flattering body."

Sarah Harbaugh discussed the distasteful trousers during a recent impromptu call to the "Fernando & Greg in the Morning" show on KMVQ-FM, according to the San Jose Mercury News.

Since he became the 49ers coach in 2011, Harbaugh apparently has become so attached to those khakis that he managed to thwart his wife's attempt to dispense of them while attending the NFL scouting combine in Indianapolis last year.

"I threw them out and when he went to the combine, he found a Walmart," she said. "They were $8. $8!"

It's not as though Harbaugh couldn't afford to skyrocket up the fashion food chain; he earns $5 million a year, according to Yahoo Sports.

"I will not take the blame for his outfits," Sarah said on an impromptu call-in to the show.

It's not just the khakis, apparently. As with many athletes and coaches who depend on repetition (and even superstition), Harbaugh has his routines, his car he won't get rid of, and his outfits.

And with a Super Bowl ring on the line, he's not changing up mid-charge.

But according to Sarah Harbaugh, coach has agreed that next year he'll make the attire upgrade if it still means that much to her.

"I said next year would you please let me dress you or let someone else," she said. "He agreed to that."
