He Just Surprised His Mom With Super Bowl Tickets...Wait Until You See Her Amazing Reaction

"...nothing more meaningful than to see my mom's reaction..."

Mike Harris' mom has been a fan of NFL's Seattle Seahawks since 1976. She's taken him to many a game and been a loyal fan in the team's ups and downs.

On Sunday she lined up with thousands of other fans to give the team a proper sendoff as they headed to New Jersey to compete against the Denver Broncos in Super Bowl XLVIII. She probably thought the next time she'd see her team was when they were returning home victors or with heads hung, but Harris had other plans for the woman he says has "Seahawks fever."

Inviting her over to his home after the sendoff, Harris handed his mother a FedEx envelope.

This was her face. Her first response: "What!?"

Harris recently saw that ticket prices had dropped, making it feasible for he and his family to afford tickets to the championship game at MetLife Stadium.

"Those are Super Bowl tickets," Harris said. "They're row 10. They're in the endzone. And there are three because Jesse Martin is going to come with us."

In the video description Harris posted to YouTube, he explained that Martin is his childhood friend who is like a "second son" to his mother.

"No way," the Seahawks fan mom said.

Cue the tears…of joy.

Watch the clip and see if you don't tear up a bit yourself:

Harris explains more about his mom's history with Seahawks fandom and how she cultivated it in him in the video description.

When the Seahawks beat the San Francisco 49ers a few weeks ago, the Harris family thought this was their year to attend the game. But he wrote that when they initially looked at the cost and considered their children's upcoming weddings, they decided "there was no way to make it happen financially."

"A week later I found myself reading a headline on Bing about the falling prices of Super Bowl tickets, a surprising situation attributed to cold and cross-country travel difficulties," he wrote. "Naturally, I figured I'd take a look and price the whole thing out. PrimeSport.com, tenth row tickets for $1,000 cheaper than a week earlier... Delta flights in and out of JFK with seats available for a manageable price... A hotel less than three miles from the stadium for a half-decent price... I texted my dad at 9:55 a.m. Pacific Time and he texted back four minutes later. We decided to pull the trigger and not tell her until the tickets came."

"I'm excited to go see the game, but there was nothing more meaningful than to see my mom's reaction that I've shared in the video," Harris wrote later.
