Watch: Obama Cracks Up Louie Gohmert and Praises Him an 'Unbelievably Gracious' and 'Good Man

President Barack Obama and Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-Texas) took a break from partisan politics during the annual National Prayer Breakfast on Thursday. Though the two couldn’t be more divided in their political beliefs, Democrat and Republican shared a light-hearted moment as men rather than politicians.

“Giving all praise and honor to God who brought us here this morning,” Obama began before addressing Gohmert. “I, by the way, have always found Louie to be unbelievably gracious every time I’ve seen him.”

The president paused for effect and then added, “Now, I don’t watch TV.”

Gohmert appeared to enjoy the joke and he shared in a laugh with the president.

“But he’s a good man and a great storyteller,” Obama said of Gohmert.
