Surveillance Video Catches the Road-Rage Incident That Police Are Calling Attempted Murder

Las Vegas Metropolitan police are looking for a road-rage suspect caught on video running over a man at a gas station in what police are calling an attempted murder.

According to police, who released details of the incident Thursday, the victim — described as an "elderly" male — drove into the gas station lot just before noon Feb. 6 when a car pulled in front of him, causing the victim to drive around the car to avoid an accident.

As the victim was walking from the gas pumps toward the store, the driver who almost hit him moments before drove around the parking lot and approached the victim at a faster-than-normal speed, police said.

The car stopped just short of the victim.

The car then continued forward, striking the elderly man with the driver's side bumper, police said.

The victim fell to the ground, and the suspect drove the car over the victim.

Police said the victim suffered significant injuries to his legs and was taken to a trauma center. TheBlaze contacted Las Vegas police Friday for an update, but police said it's their policy to not release victims' names, so an update on the victim's condition isn't available.

The suspect — who TheBlaze confirmed with police was still at-large Friday — was last seen driving out of the parking lot "westbound on Flamingo Road," police said. The suspect's vehicle is described as a 2010 or 2011 dark gray Honda Accord with tint on the rear windows only. The vehicle has a California license plate that begins with "6C." The driver could only be described as a white male in his 30s with a medium build last seen wearing a gray hoodie.
