Who Would've Guessed That This Simple Story About a 3-Year-Old Girl Getting a Haircut Could Inspire Millions?

"Emily James is just your typical little 3 year old princess."

You see, Emily loved her long hair. Her favorite princess is Rapunzel. But when the girl’s hair started growing so long that it became impractical to upkeep, her parents presented an option.

The parents, Amy and Richard James of Ontario, Canada, told their daughter that some children are sick and lose their hair. They showed Emily pictures of children with cancer and explained why some kids need wigs because of the hair loss.

Showing her true character at the tender age of 3, Emily happily agreed to give up her hair. But she had one condition: Her Rapunzel doll had to get a haircut too.

“I don’t want any kids to be sad that they have no hair,” she said. “What I want to do is give them my hair.”

Per the video's description:

What makes Emily unique is that by age three her golden [brown] locks were long enough to be made into a wig for a child with cancer. As Emily states in the video, "just cut some off and give it to a kid". What an incredible lesson to learn from a 3 year old, when we have lots of something - don't hold onto it, give it away to someone else who needs it more. Emily James is just your typical little 3 year old princess. She loves nail polish, frilly dresses and when she can get her hands on it, mums lipstick. Her favourite movie is Tangled and she is especially fond of her Rapunzel dolly, which is why 'Dolly' got a hair cut too. When Emily said she would let Uncle Matthew cut her hair, she insisted that he would cut 'Dolly's' hair first.
