Seconds Into This Horrifying Video It Becomes Clear That Something Terrible Is Going to Happen

A fatal helicopter crash was caught on video, and the person filming was standing just a few feet from the spectator who was killed.

From the moment the helicopter lifted off it seemed somewhat unstable (YouTube).

LikeLeak published the helicopter crash which took place in Germany and was uploaded by username "Continue," and included some details about the crash.

The chopper immediately whips into a right hand turn (YouTube).

The helicopter is dangerously off balance when the right skid touches down, which sends the chopper into a deadly tilt into the ground with the rotors still spinning under power (YouTube).

"In the words of the cameraman 'The 38-year-old victim was hit in the crash of the helicopter from flying parts of the rotor. Doctors and paramedics could not save the man. The man died 2 (meters) next to us'," the LiveLeak post reads.

The author also said three spectators were injured from flying debris and the pilot and co-pilot received minor injuries.

TheBlaze was unable to independently verify the source of the video, but two aviation experts evaluated the footage and told TheBlaze it appears the accident must have been pilot error.

"I wouldn't be surprised to hear this was an inexperienced pilot or a student pilot," one former Navy helicopter pilot said. "They may have taken off with a tailwind, whipped it into the wind too quickly and never established themselves in a steady hover before transitioning to forward flight."

"Once that skid makes contact, it acts like a pivot point and power added just exacerbated the roll they had already entered," he added.

Another former military pilot confirmed the suspicion of pilot error.

"It's possible the pilot was having control issues which helped cause the crash, but he did not react correctly when his skid grabbed; he should have bottomed out the collective," the pilot said.

That means he should have stopped all power going to the rotors.

"Also going sideways at a foot high is frowned on for exactly this reason," the military-trained helicopter pilot confirmed. "When you have sideward motion and touch the ground the hello essentially flips itself -- It's called a dynamic rollover."
