Pro-Gun Senate Candidate Pulls Out His Glock, Knife in Wild Campaign Ad
April 09, 2014
"...I’m going to use my Glock — to blow your balls off."
Bob Quast is running for U.S. Senate in Iowa, hoping to succeed retiring Sen. Tom Harkin (D-Iowa) in November. His latest campaign ad is already burning up the Internet — most likely because it’s unlike almost every campaign ad ever made.
In the video, Quast advocates for a 28th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution requiring term limits for members of Congress. He then expresses his unwavering support for the Second Amendment.
“I believe in every aspect of our Constitution,” Quast says in the ad as a dog is shown seemingly nodding his head in approval. “Which even a baby knows includes the Second Amendment.”
The candidate then talks about the murder of his sister by her husband in 1999, warning him of what will happen if he comes to his home.
“If you are the sexual predator and sociopath who murdered my sister, Lynnette, and you come to my front door to do harm to my girls, I’m going to use my Glock — to blow your balls off,” he says in the video.
Quast notes that “liberals like Bruce Braley want to restrict our gun rights, including this magazine with 15 bullets.”
However, he doesn’t want you to confuse him with Iowa’s Republican candidate for U.S. Senate. He is referring to Iowa state Sen. Joni Ernst’s strange ad in which she touts her experience castrating hogs to show she can cut wasteful spending in Washington, D.C.
Quast says he will run as an independent, so the "filing period to get on the ballot for the general election would be July 28 to Aug. 15," the Des Moines Register reports.
