See Their Outstretched Arms? They're About to Make the Catch of a Lifetime

“I didn’t think too much at the time."

A 1-year-old baby in China climbed out onto a ledge that was two stories high during a rain storm last week. A group spotting the baby in this precarious position, took action to catch him or at least cushion his fall -- and the harrowing moment was caught on camera.

The incident occurred Xiaolan Town, Zhongshan City, in Guangdong Province, according to News.com.au, which cited Chinese news sources as speculating the child was looking for his mother.

Knowing the baby could fall at any moment, onlookers put cardboard down just in case, but it was a man identified as Mr. Li and Mr. Hu who heroically placed themselves in a position to catch the baby.

Watch the stunning footage captured by CCTV camera:

“I didn’t think too much at the time. I was just afraid of failing to catch him," Mr. Li told Chinese news sources, accoring to News.com.au. "It was nothing but human instinct to do so."
