A military jet crashed Wednesday evening in Southern California, a spokesperson for the Marine Corps Air Station Miramar confirmed to TheBlaze.
Corporal Melissa Lee said that a Harrier jet stationed at Marine Corps Air Station Yuma crashed near Imperial, California.
"We are currently in the process of gathering new information and as we get it we will release it as quickly as possible," she told TheBlaze.
It was not immediately clear if there were any injuries, but multiple news reports indicated the pilot successfully ejected from the aircraft.
Video captured by eyewitness Daniel Urias captured the aftermath at the scene.
"What about the guy that's supposed to be in there?" one individual is heard asking on the video.
"He ejected," another answers.
