See Why This NBC Correspondent Willingly Stuck His Hand in Box Full of 5,000 Mosquitos — and Why He Now Likely Wishes He Hadn't

Yikes.

It’s safe to say that NBC News correspondent Kerry Sanders is not a satisfied customer of the Sonic Repeller app, which is supposed to help repel mosquitos.

Appearing on NBC’s “Today” last week, Sanders bravely decided to test the app to see if it really worked. This involved willingly sticking his hand into a box containing about 5,000 mosquitos. The app supposedly emits a frequency that is “distasteful” to mosquitos and discourages the insects from biting.

Unfortunately for Sanders, the app didn’t seem to work at all and his hand was engulfed by hungry mosquitos. He reportedly suffered more than 300 bites on his hand.

Sanders apparently returned to “Today” on Friday to test various home remedies for mosquito bites, according to TVNewser.
