After Obama Says U.S. Doesn't 'Have a Strategy Yet' on Islamic State, Fiery Texas Congressman Offers Him One

"It was radical Islam and he kept choosing to help radical Islam."

After hearing President Barack Obama declare “we don’t have a strategy yet” on dealing with the Islamic State in Syria, Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-Texas) offered the commander-in-chief some free advice.

“[Obama] has never had a good strategy,” Gohmert told Fox News host Neil Cavuto.

The Texas congressman went on to say Obama should “bomb the bad guys,” including Islamic State militants and other radical Islamists.

“He saw it a few years ago as being an Arab Spring. It was radical Islam and he kept choosing to help radical Islam,” Gohmert added.

He also said Obama would find support in Congress for strong action against radical Islamist groups, claiming that “a lot of us would be willing to have a declaration of war against radical Islam, including Al Qaeda, ISIS, ISIL, all of these splinter groups.”

The White House later clarified on Obama's comments and claimed he was specifically referring to the Islamic State in Syria, not the terrorist organization as a whole.
