He Crashed His Speeding Motorcycle, Fled Cops on Foot and Got Collared With Cocaine. What Harm Could a Little Post-Arrest Boast Do?

CONCORD, N.H. (TheBlaze/AP) — David J. Fries, a 31-year-old from Manchester, was spotted by a trooper on Interstate 93 in Bow at about 2:45 a.m. Saturday, New Hampshire police said.

He was clocked at 127 mph, police said.

The trooper eventually ended the chase, but another trooper saw Fries crash into a guardrail after he exited Interstate 393.

Fries was ejected in the crash and fled the scene on foot, police told WCVB-TV in Boston.

He then led police — and a police dog — on a foot chase in Concord.

Fries was found after 45 minutes with a broken ankle and in possession of a hypodermic needle, smoking pipe and crack cocaine, WCVB reported, citing officials.

After being arrested, Fries bragged that he had reached 185 mph during the chase, according to police.

He's being charged with reckless operation, operating without a motorcycle license, resisting arrest and drug possession, WZB-TV in Boston reported. Fries' bail is $30,000.

Fries was treated for injuries from the crash — and from the dog.

It's unclear if he has a lawyer.
