Watch: Here's What Getting a Tattoo Looks Like In Slow Motion

If you've ever wanted to know what it's like to get a tattoo, you're about to find out. Destin at Smarter Every Day visited a tattoo parlor and posted this awesome video. Fair warning, though: It's a little gross.

Did you get all that? If not, Vine user Alan White showed us what getting a tattoo looks like in slow motion.

Editor's Note: This story has been updated to remove the Vine video at the request of the artist who originally owns the material.

So it's a rotary machine with a motor that uses a certain number of needles depending on which type of tattoo you're getting. The needles pierce the skin and inject the ink beneath the dermis, or the lower layer of your skin.

It's really cool, but still gross.
