Jimmy Kimmel Asked People Outside a Pot Shop Some Basic Gov't Questions — Their Responses Are Hilariously Depressing
October 02, 2014
"If the marijuana industry really wants to influence the political process, they need to start by helping stoners remember to vote."
Jimmy Kimmel decided to send his cameras this week to a medical marijuana dispensary in Hollywood to see if patrons could answer some basic questions about current events and government. The answer? Not really, according to the video.
"If the marijuana industry really wants to influence the political process, they need to start by helping stoners remember to vote," Kimmel cracked. "I wonder if regular pot smokers pay enough attention to politics to make a positive impact."
The question was quickly answered by people like "Alex" who couldn't name the leader of North Korea but could name the lead actor in the pot-heavy movie "Pineapple Express."
Another woman couldn't name the current pope but definitely knows what's in Pizza Hut's new stuffed crust pizza.
