Las Vegas Flight Quarantined ‘After Reports That a Passenger Who Had Recently Traveled to Africa Vomited on Board the Aircraft’
October 10, 2014
Ambulances were seen surrounding the plane...
Emergency medical officials responded to McCarran International Airport in Las Vegas on Friday because a passenger was reportedly showing some Ebola-like symptoms, NBC Los Angeles reports.
Christine Crews, a spokeswoman for the airport, told KSNV-TV that the flight was quarantined "after reports that a passenger who had recently traveled in Africa vomited on board the aircraft." However, officials later said the sick passenger does not meet the criteria for Ebola.
The plane, Delta Airlines Flight 404, departed from JFK International Airport in New York City on Friday morning and arrived in Las Vegas in the afternoon.
KSNV-TV reports six ambulances were seen around the plane as medical officials worked the scene.
