It turns out one's level of intelligence really can affect what type of music they listen to.
A new (not so scientific) study discovered the many musical tastes based on SAT scores. Software application writer Virgil Griffith looked at the average test scores for students at certain schools and then used Facebook to determine what kinds of music students at those schools like to listen to.
The study found that the most brilliant tend to listen to like Beethoven, Sufjan Stevens, Counting Crows, U2, Radiohead and Bob Dylan.Big names in the average category include The Eagles, John Legend, Maroon 5, Elton John, Johnny Cash and Rascal Flatts.
Not so smart? Study subjects might listen to Lil Wayne, Justin Timberlake, Jay-Z and Beyonce. There were even some country stars such as Kenny Chesney and Carrie Underwood among the low-scorers' favorites.
