That Time Harry Reid Called Obamacare Advocate Jonathan Gruber 'One of the Most Respected Economists in the World

"A pretty good statement."

By now, most of the (conservative) world knows the name Jonathan Gruber. He's the Obamacare advocate/architect who has been caught on camera multiple times talking about the "stupidity" of the American voter and how lawmakers used tricks in order to get voters to be OK with the legislation.

On Thursday, Nancy Pelosi claimed she didn't know who he was, only to backtrack later when it was found she had invoked Gruber years ago. Now, another video shows that Gruber seems to have been well-known to Democrats. On December 1, 2009, Harry Reid lauded Gruber on the Senate floor, calling him "one of the most respected economists in the world."
