Former President Jimmy Carter on Thursday called Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) a “warmonger,” reigniting a spat after the 2008 Republican presidential nominee used him as a standard for poor leadership earlier this year.

MSNBC host Ronan Farrow interviewed Carter at the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum and asked him about McCain’s words in January where he said of Obama: “I thought Jimmy Carter was bad. It pales in comparison to this president.”
Carter didn’t seem bothered, the Patriot Ledger reported.
“That’s a compliment to me coming from a warmonger,” Carter said.
