Here's what was posted Saturday on the official Twitter account of the Democratic Party regarding "the definition of progress":

As you might imagine, using the quote from then-President Jimmy Carter at his State of the Union Address in January 1978 raised a few eyebrows, given the economic condition of America after the speech until the end of the Carter presidency three years later:
