Donald Trump speaks during the family leadership summit in Ames, Iowa Saturday Aug. 10, 2013. Republican presidential hopefuls are hoping to impress conservative voters at the conference organized by an influential Christian group. The daylong event will be one of many candidate cattle calls in the grueling run-up to the 2016 presidential election. None of the potential contenders appearing Saturday has declared candidacy. Conservative voters could be key to a 2016 victory in Iowa's caucuses, the nation's first presidential nominating event.

Real estate tycoon Donald Trump blasted President Barack Obama, telling conservative talk show host Hugh Hewitt that he hasn't been a friend to Israel.
The sharp comments came in response to a question from Hewitt referencing National Security Advisor Susan Rice's recent controversial remark.
"Now yesterday, Susan Rice, the President’s National Security Advisor, said Prime Minister Netanyahu’s visit to the United States is 'destructive.' What do you think of the President’s attitude towards Israel? Is he a friend of Israel?" Hewitt asked.
"No, I think he’s one of the worst things that’s ever happened to Israel," Trump responded.

"[I] have so many friends of mind that contributed the Obama campaign, and that because they’re so pro-Israel, I said how can you contribute to the campaign?" he added. "This guy is the worst thing that ever happened to Israel. And if you’re living in Israel, believe me, you believe that."
