He Caught It!': High School Outfielder Makes Amazing Catch After Ball Bounces Off Teammate's Head
March 25, 2015
"Oh my goodness!"
A high school baseball player in Mississippi made one of the most incredible catches you will see last week after the ball bounced off his teammate's head.
The catch came during a game last Tuesday between D'Iberville High School and Hancock High School.
Center fielder Travis Bender accidentally slipped when attempting to catch a fly ball, causing it to bounce off his head. About 50-60 feet away, left fielder Jay Deshong somehow positioned himself in the perfect spot to make the play. Deshong then tossed the ball over to second base for a double play.
Viewers can be heard reacting to the incredible catch in a video of the play uploaded by the Sun Herald.
"He caught it!" one man can be heard saying. "Oh my goodness!"
