Krauthammer: Rand Paul Is 'Without a Doubt the One Republican' Running With This Characteristic

Famed political pundit Charles Krauthammer said Tuesday that Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) is the one Republican candidate running who is most aligned with President Barack Obama on foreign policy.

Speaking on Fox News, the conservative analyst said Paul is “without a doubt the one Republican who'll be running who is the closest to Obama in his view of foreign policy.”

The libertarian senator, who announced he's seeking the Oval Office Tuesday, is left of Obama on issues pertaining to surveillance, the NSA and drones, among other things, Krauthammer said.

"There's just this one example. He says our goal is to always peace not war," the pundit said. "Well, that’s the dichotomy Obama is always presenting – either peace or war, as if that is the choice. That is not right, our objective is always national security, and sometimes you can get it on the cheap and sometimes you can’t."
