Beck Says Local Police 'Now Have the Capacity to Turn Cities ... Into a War Zone

In a preview clip for an upcoming "Root" special highlighting the militarization of police, Glenn Beck warned that "local police now have the capacity to turn cities, both big and small, into a war zone."

Beck said if America doesn't change its course, one could see police "patrolling streets in tanks and armored personnel carriers, and geared up with the same fatigues and weapons you'd see on a soldier."

"In rare cases such force is warranted, but it is becoming the norm rather than the exception," he warned.
