An anti-gun Twitter user on Sunday posted his edited version of a Dana Loesch NRA promotional video in which TheBlaze TV host shoots herself in the head.

Tom Adelsbach's comment preceding the clip? "Dana Loesch's new promotional video for the #NRA 'backfires' on her."

Think Loesch took this one lying down? Not a chance.

After reposting the clip on her Twitter page — "Great. Now anti-gun #MomsDemand fans are making videos threatening to kill me" — she sprang into action.

She added that she contacted the FBI and then declared that for "every hate Tweet I receive? I’m going to donate to the NRA in that person’s name AND buy myself another box of ammo."

But not only did Loesch start sending in donations to the NRA — other folks did as well, and even joined up. And when they let her know, Loesch retweeted the news.

Oh, and as for the guy who posted the video? He appeared to spend most of the remainder of the day sending out follow-up tweets of this nature:
