Stop Fighting and I Won't Hurt You': Brave Victim Defies Alleged Would-Be Rapist's Demand, Sends Him to Hospital

"Now you have to die."

A South Carolina woman bit off the tongue of the teenager who was sexually assaulting her, police said.

According to WCSC-TV, the woman told the North Charleston police that when the teen forced his way into her house and then forced his tongue into her mouth, she bit down as hard as she could until she had bitten it off. The suspect was later found at a Waffle House after his mother called 911 to report that her son did "not have a tongue and [needed] medical assistance."

WCSC reported that the incident occurred Friday morning when the unidentified woman answered a knock at her door around 6:30 a.m. but found no one there. The 33-year-old woman answered the door two more times before she noticed a man at the side of her house holding a knife with with a white handle.

Police said the woman shouted "no" and attempted to get back inside of her house, but the teenager used his body to block the door from closing and entered her home. Once he was inside of her house, the male suspect allegedly tackled her to the ground and punched her several times.

"Stop fighting, and I won't hurt you," he reportedly said.

WCSC reported that the suspect asked her where her bedroom was, picked her up and took her there. Once there, the woman said the male attempted to take off her shorts, but she kicked him in the groin.

"Now you have to die," the teenager allegedly said then and forced his tongue into her mouth.

That was when the woman told police that she "bit as hard as she could until she heard it snap." The man immediately got off the bed, and the woman still had the tongue in her mouth. She threw it onto the kitchen floor as she fled to her car, according to WCSC.

The woman reportedly did not bring her phone or tablet with her, so she drove to a nearby business to call police.

Police reported that the woman had visible bruising and swelling around her right eye as well as scratches under her knee and on her foot. Police also reported that they found blood in the bedroom. A knife like the one the woman described the suspect as having was found in her yard.

The tongue was found at the woman's house and placed into a bag of ice. The suspect was transported to a local hospital.
