Anchor Asks Lt. Col. Ralph Peters Not to 'Use Language Like That' After Getting the Veteran's Thoughts on Obama's Oval Office Address
December 07, 2015
"I can tell you are super angry..."
A Fox News analyst was asked to tone it down after he threw some colorful insults President Barack Obama's way when discussing the president's recent remarks on terrorism.
Fox Business Network host Stuart Varney sparked the tirade when he asked his guest, Lt. Col. Ralph Peters, what he he found himself saying to the television as he watched Obama address the nation Sunday evening.
"Well, first of all, he keeps speaking about, 'We can't give into our fears, don't be afraid,'" Peters said. "Look, Mr. President, we're not afraid. We're angry, we're pissed off, we're furious! We want you to react, we want you do do something."
"You're afraid," Peters continued. "I mean, this guy is such a total pussy, it's stunning."
Peters continued to rant against Obama's policies, specifically regarding the Islamic State and the military.
"This is a president who cares more about thugs in Guantanamo or thugs in Ferguson, Missouri, than he does about law-abiding American citizens that have a right to live in safety and peace," Peters said before he was cut off by Varney.
"I can tell you are super angry, and I asked you what your reaction was, but I gotta call you, you can't use language like that on the program. I'm sorry," Varney said.
