Who was NOT surprised by Donald Trump's doctor's report? Donald Trump, that's who
December 14, 2015
Following the release of a report from Donald Trump's doctor stating the candidate was in excellent health, Gregg "Opie" Hughes of SiriusXM's "Opie and Jimmy" show recalled the time Trump was on his radio show and claimed he never got sick, specifically stating he never had the flu.
Hughes told TheBlaze the call happened before Mr. Trump was a presidential candidate and they were discussing the latest season of the Celebrity Apprentice.
Not certain of the exact date, Hughes believed it was in February of this year -- in the middle of flu season -- and the radio host's own family was fighting the flu.
"It just worked into the conversation, " Hughes told us.
He asked Trump, "Donald, do you get the flu shot every year?"
Trump instantly replied, "No."
When pressed as to why he's never had a flu shot, Trump casually answered, "I don't know. I've never had a flu shot and I've never had the flu."
Trump went on to say that he did not like the idea of "injecting bad stuff" into his body.
