Donald Trump Reveals What He ‘Didn’t Know’ About Palin’s Endorsement Speech — Until She Delivered It
January 20, 2016
"I didn't know it was..."
Republican frontrunner Donald Trump said on CNN Wednesday evening that he was unaware Sarah Palin's endorsement speech "was going to be quite that long."
"Were you uncomfortable there for a bit watching Sarah Palin?" host Don Lemon asked at the outset of the segment.
"No, not at all!" Trump replied.
"You know, I was there," he continued. "I didn't know it was going to be quite that long. But she made a very good speech."
Trump said he would have "normally left the stage and let her speak," but thought it would be "frankly nice" if he stood there.
"I thought it would be disrespectful to her if I left the stage," he added.
