A CNN anchor gushed over one of Bernie Sanders' campaign ads, telling one of her guests Wednesday, "It actually gives you goosebumps."
Carol Costello introduced the ad featuring the daughter of Eric Garner, who died in July 2014 after police in New York put him in a chokehold. It shows Sanders speaking before a crowd, saying that "when a police officer breaks the law, that officer must be held accountable."
Garner's daughter, who is supporting Sanders, can be heard saying how Sanders is a "protester," adding that he is "not scared" to go up against the criminal justice system. Costello then cut away from the ad with a personal observation.
"If you watch the whole ad, it actually gives you goosebumps," Costello said to her guest, J.J. Balaban, whose work on TV and radio political ads has been praised by MSNBC and the Washington Post, according to the Campaign Group, Inc., where Balaban now works.
"It's beautiful," Balaban said of the latest Sanders ad.
