See Why Joy Behar Says the Senate Won't Confirm Any Supreme Court Nominee from Obama
February 17, 2016
"They oppose the man, no matter what he does."
Joy Behar, co-host of ABC's "The View," says the Senate's plan to block any Supreme Court nominee is about more than politics. According to the show host, race is the real reason motivating the "racist" Congress.
"It’s almost like [Senate Republicans are] not being patriotic, it seems to me. … And I have to say it, I know it’s not popular to say it, but his color has something to do with it. I don’t care," Behar said Tuesday.
Behar argued that nominating a replacement for the late Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia "comes as part of the the job" of the president. However, she said the GOP will fight any recommendation by Obama because "they oppose the man, no matter what he does."
As for the reason why Republicans oppose Obama, Behar says it's because "they're racists."
"I'm saying that they're racists and it takes a white person to say it. Everybody knows black people believe that," Behar concluded.
