Iraqi Security Officials Say a Suicide Bomber Has Attacked a Football Stadium Near Baghdad

BAGHDAD (TheBlaze/AP) -- Iraqi security officials say a suicide bomber has attacked a football stadium south of Baghdad, killing at least 29 and wounding 60.

"They were just handing the trophy to the winners [and] the suicide attacker blew himself up in the crowd," an Iraqi police captain told Agence France-Presse.
The attack happened in the village of Al-Asriya, near Iskandariyah, which is about 40 miles south of Baghdad.
