Craigslist Ad Offering $15 Per Hour for Anti-Trump Protesters Taken Down After Backlash

"We've already had one listing removed because of Trump supporters flagging it."

A Craigslist ad that offered interested persons $15 an hour to protest at Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump's Tuesday rally in Janesville, Wisconsin, was taken down after it received backlash from pro-Trump forums.

The Craigslist ad, which was allegedly posted by people claiming to be supporters of Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders, stated that they were seeking to find Trump protesters "because of the current income inequality that we are fighting in America today!" Offering $15 per hour up to a maximum of four hours, the ad writer claimed to have obtained permission to use "this for a pre-rally point to provide signs, a time card, and a shuttle bus to the event."

"There will be a requirement of designated signature time stamps at the pre-rally and at the event every hour to combat fraud," the ad writer included, suggesting that there were concerns with legitimacy.

The ad writer also expressed concern over the response from Trump supporters to an earlier ad allegedly listed somewhere else.

"Please share with all family and friends on Facebook, Twitter, and any other social media," the ad stated. "We've already had one listing removed because of Trump supporters flagging it. They don't want us to be here!!"

This ad was later removed from Craigslist after it began to receive widespread notice from pro-Trump forums, according to WTTG-TV.

TheBlaze reached out to the Sanders campaign for comment, but received no response prior to publishing this article.
