One rambunctious chihuahua led California Highway Patrol officers on quite the chase in an incident that was caught on camera Sunday morning.
At around 6:56 a.m., CHP officials reported that a black chihuahua had been spotted running in the eastbound lanes of the Bay Bridge that spans San Francisco Bay in California, according to CBSSF-TV. A video clip that was posted to CHP San Francisco's Twitter account shows an officer giving a brief chase in pursuit of the fleeing canine on a motorcycle.

After the officers finally managed to safely catch up to the chihuahua, CHP Officer Vu Williams used his jacket to distract the dog and apprehend it safely, according to KGO-TV. After it was captured, the tiny pup was taken to San Francisco Animal Care and Control. At this time, the CHP is still looking for the chihuahua's owner and inquiring into the matter.
