Want to Eat and Train Like an Elite Navy SEAL? Jocko Willink Reveals How He Keeps His Body Combat-Ready

“That’s pretty much what my diet consists of."

If you want to eat and train like decorated Navy SEAL Jocko Willink, stock up on steak and clear hours in your schedule each day for some intense physical training.

“I eat steak primarily,” Willink told TheBlaze. “That’s pretty much what my diet consists of. Sometimes I supplement that with other steaks.”

Willink has trained tirelessly for most of his life to be ready — mentally and physically — for any threat that may come his way. The combat-ready mentality served him well as an elite Navy SEAL commander, but he continues to live by it in his post-military career.

A black belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu, the 230-pound Willink is what grown men’s nightmares are made of. This author actually learned that lesson the hard (and painful) way on Thursday.

As far as his workout regimen, Willink said he doesn’t limit himself to one type of training.

In addition to Brazilian jiu-jitsu, Willink said he does calisthenics, lifts weights, sprints and just works out harder than everyone else.

You can see what happened when an untrained news editor stepped into the ring for a grappling match with Willink below -- but be warned, it's not pretty.
