Viral Video Shows Louisiana Boy Sneaking Into Neighbor's Garage — but the Reason May Just Make Your Whole Day

Hoping to rush in and out just quick enough to evade getting caught, one little Louisiana boy had no idea he was being recorded by a security camera when he dashed into a neighbor's garage to sneak a hug from the friendly dog sitting inside.

In the video of Josh Breaux, which was uploaded to Facebook by Hollie Breaux Mallet, the dog's owner, the boy can be seen riding to the driveway on his bicycle, finding the garage door ajar and rushing in to find Duchess resting on the concrete floor.

When Mallet saw the video footage, she wanted to know who the little boy was, so she shared the clip on her Facebook page.

"I’d like to tell him he’s welcome to stay and play," she wrote. "She loves the attention."

One of the respondents was Josh's mother, Ginger Clement Breaux, who told the homeowner that her son loves Duchess, but admitted he shouldn't be on someone's property without their knowledge. But, according to Breaux, Josh talks about the friendly pup "all the time."

As it turns out, the Breaux family's dog, Bella, recently passed away, and Josh was heartbroken. Spending time with Duchess — no matter how fleeting the moment — may have been helping him cope with the loss.

"We had our dog Bella since Josh was 2, but she passed away last year," Breaux wrote. "Things have been busy and Josh is active with after school activities so we have not jumped back into taking on the responsibility of starting all over again with a new pup quite yet."

Josh's mother added that they will be getting a new dog soon, though.
