TheBlaze previously reported that Meagan Nash wrote a viral plea for children with disabilities to be included in advertising images after a modeling agency initially rejected Asher’s picture for a casting call for Carter’s Inc. Nash said the agency rejected Asher’s picture because the company did not specify that they were seeking images of a child with special needs.
After seeing Nash’s Facebook post, representatives for OshKosh B'Gosh, whose parent company is Carter’s Inc., reached out to the family to set up a meeting. They quickly offered Asher the opportunity to model for them.
Nash told WXIA-TV that although she was nervous going into the meeting, the OshKosh B'Gosh executives loved Asher.
“He went in there, and he was Asher,” Nash said. “He was waving, he was blowing kisses! The CEO held him, and he didn’t want to leave.”
In an Instagram post, Nash wrote that she felt "so many emotions seeing these pictures come to life."
Nash told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution that "I'm really just trying to take a stand for him and other children and babies and adults like him."
