Bill Maher's latest liberal controversy is yet another vulgar, unhinged tirade against Trump
June 17, 2017
Bill Maher went on a very Stephen Colbert-like rant against President Donald Trump and his cabinet on Friday's airing of his HBO series, "Real Time."
During the segment, Maher mocked cabinet members who praised their commander-in-chief during a publicized White House meeting that was held on Monday.
“These people are cabinet members," Maher said. "They used to have dignity! Republicans used to have dignity! Trump started off by blowing himself ... then they all took turns around the table verbally fellating him."
Earlier in the segment, Maher dragged Russian President Vladimir Putin into the fray, making a sexual reference about him and Trump.
About Special Counsel Bob Mueller, who recently hired a team of attorneys to investigate Trump for varying crimes, Maher said, "He’s so far up Trump’s ass he had to ask Putin to scoot over.”
Maher, just two weeks ago, was publicly roasted for his use of a racial epithet while interviewing guest, Sen. Ben Sasse (R-Neb.).
During their conversation, Maher casually used the N-word in reference to himself, and as a result, many calls were made to force Maher out of his position at HBO.
HBO, however, refused to fire Maher, and instead issued the following statement:
“Bill Maher’s comment last night was completely inexcusable and tasteless. We are removing his deeply offensive comment from any subsequent airings of the show.”
